ADRIAN CULAS (1995 – 2007 Malaysia) (2009 – current NSW)
Adrian Culas graduated with an Honours in Law from University of London, UK in 1993. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in February 1995 and has been in active practice in Malaysian since then. In 2003, Adrian joined Messrs Culas-Netto and became the Senior Practitioner of the firm until his relocation to Australia in 2007.
Adrian was requested to sit as a Member of the Investigating Tribunal of the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board after he completed 7 years of practice in Malaysia.
Adrian has always been in active practice in Malaysia and was mainly involved in Commercial Law matters, Civil Litigation, Bankruptcy and Insolvency and Debt Recovery. Adrian has vast experience as a Solicitor in Malaysia and has represented several corporate organisations and provided advice on corporate and legal issues. Adrian was also involved in numerous contentious legal disputes in Malaysia and is a capable and skilled litigator. Adrian has appeared in all levels of court throughout Malaysia.
In addition, Adrian also lectured Company Law in a Masters of Law program for a number of US Universities which include travelling to East Malaysia and Indonesia to lecture and attend corporate events. Adrian was the In-House legal advisor for NetAcademy Sdn Bhd, a MSC status company in Malaysia and advised them in numerous legal and commercial matters until his relocation to Australia.
Adrian is currently the Legal Counsel with Interpro Group of Companies . Adrian holds a valid practicing certificate and practices as a Solicitor in NSW. Adrian’s skills include negotiation and attempting out of court settlements on behalf of clients. He attempts to deliver the best outcome to clients and seeks to minimise cost and expense to clients.
Adrian’s main areas of experience is Commercial Litigation, Insolvency, Civil Litigation, Taxation, Debt Recovery, Contract, Drafting of various Commercial Agreements, Wills and Estate disputes, etc.
Prior to joining Culas-Netto Solicitors in NSW, Adrian worked as a para legal and then as a Solicitor with LAC Lawyers for 3 years. Adrian also worked as a Senior Paralegal with a public listed company since arriving in Sydney for a year.In 2015, Adrian has completed his Masters in Law Degree specialising in Corporate and Commercial with the University of NSW.
Adrian is able to work with people and has the ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Pheba Netto (1996 – 2007 Malaysia) (2010 – Current NSW)
Pheba Netto graduated with Honours from University of Wolverhampton, UK in 1993. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in October 1996 and has been in active practice in Malaysian since then. After 5 years, she set up the firm Messrs Culas-Netto (previously known as Messrs Netto & Umma (2002 ~ 2003) and was the Managing Partner in the firm until she relocated to Australia in 2007.
Pheba had the experience of working closely with the Malaysian Bar in the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board as the Assistant Director before returning to practice a year later. During her time there, Pheba met and dealt with Senior Judges, Senior Solicitors and several other member of society who held important roles both politically as well as within the legal sector. Pheba was also involved in the meeting and liaising with members of society as well as practicing solicitors on a daily basis.
Pheba returned to practice and has been involved in numerous contentious legal disputes in Malaysia and is a capable and skilled litigator. Since 1996, Pheba has vast experience practising as a lawyer and regularly undertook briefs and appeared in all courts all over West Malaysia.
Negotiation and attempting out of court settlements on behalf of clients has been an important skill acquired during her practicing. Her written as well as verbal communication skills coupled with her attitude to always carry out the clients wishes in accordance with the laws and regulations have always been a key feature to her success. The ability to identify legal issues and work towards positive outcomes on behalf of the client has also always been given first consideration. Many of her clients had consulted her before she set up her own firm and have since then still maintained good relations with her todate and seek her help in times of need.
Pheba’s main areas of experience is General commercial litigation, Civil Litigation, Debt Recovery, Family, Law, Debt Recovery, Contractual Disputes (formation, breach, damages, etc), Bankruptcy Proceedings, Drafting of Agreements, Wills and Estate disputes, Insolvency and Bankruptcy proceedings, etc.
Prior to joining Culas-Netto Solicitors in NSW, Pheba worked as a Solicitor with LAC Lawyers for about 14 months. Pheba also worked as a Senior Paralegal with a public listed company as well as a Case Manager with an Ombudsman in the Sydney CBD. Pheba is currently studying a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
Pheba is able to work with people and has the ability to communicate in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia and 2 south Indian dialects.
